Guinness Gruit
Personal work for a Guinness Gruit Limited Edition.
The gruit was the medieval ancestor of modern beer, made with a misture of herbs dinstilled without hop.

Gruit is a Celtic word derived from the letter G (”goort”) of the Ogham alphabeth, which originally meant “ivy”. Each letter was indeed associated to a particular plant and consisted in a combination of horizontal and oblique lines.
This project is ispired to this ancient alphabeth typical of pre-Christian Ireland and to the stained glasses of medieval Irish curches, since Guinness was always famous for being faithful to its Irish roots and traditions.
